iPad ReviewThe iPad tablet is simply amazing. Apple has yet again amazed us all with its new incredible Apple iPad tablet. The iPad tablet features an LPS (Low-temperature PolySilicon), high-resolution, 9.7-inch LED-backlit display that is remarkably crisp and vivid. This makes the iPad tablet perfect for web browsing, watching movies, or viewing your favorite photos. It only weighs 1.5lbs for the standard Wi-Fi version and just 1.6 lbs for the Wi-Fi +3G version. It’s also the thinnest of all tablets, measuring just 0.5 inches thin. The iPad retails at just $499, which is much less than what was being speculated by various analysts. Well, I guess you can say the analysts were pretty much on the ball, beings the iPad (in some cases) are being sold for up to a couple hundred dollars over retail store prices. A 32gb iPad tablet retails for $599 and a 64gb iPad tablet will set you back a mere $699. If you want the 3G version, just ad an additional $130 for the unit, and ad between $14.99 - $29.99 a month for the 3G service. The iPad tablet has built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity and doesn’t appear to have any connectivity or disconnection issues but it has been reported from consumers that the download speed is slower than the iPhone which uses 802.11g connectivity. As with any new Apple product and the anticipation of consumers flooding the Apple app store, a blazing fast connectivity might certainly be a problem at the launch of a new product. I believe this is simply a smart move by Apple to prevent their systems from being overloaded. Within a short period of time and after millions of iPads have been loaded up with trillions of apps, I’m certain Apple will update their firmware and all Apple iPad users will be cruising the net at warp speeds. After all, the 802.11n technology is a better, newer and faster technology. The iPad uses 2.1 Bluetooth + EDR technology which lets you connect to devices like wireless headphones or Apple Wireless Keyboards. The iPad has been pre-installed with a microphone, speaker, and an accelerometer (which has been specially patented by Apple). When you tilt or rotate the iPad, it automatically changes the screens orientation to align with the device’s orientation. Now this concept isn’t necessarily new, but the way in which they integrated it within their iPad driving/racing games, maps, and surround sound are definitely innovative. The Apple tablet also comes with built-in iTunes as you would expect, for music playback and file sharing. It also has access to plenty of third party video websites such as YouTube for displaying videos or for viewing movies and TV shows. The Apple iPad is able to sync via USB to PCs and Macs as the iPhone does. This helps with the transfer of various data such as movies or music. It comes with an outstanding battery life of 10 hours, featuring a month of standby time on just a single battery charge. For those of you who are more business-minded, there is a business productivity program called iWork, which enables the user to create spreadsheets, presentations and various other tasks. It's not as high powered as iWork for Mac OS X, but it's ideal for building presentations and has enough power for basic documents and worksheets. Get your iPad today and experience this amazing tablet! Update!! >> On May 7, 2010 Apple, Inc stated they had sold out all the three versions of the new Apple iPad 3G!!! Apple sold its one-millionth iPad on April 30, 2010. The demand for the iPad has continued to rise whereas the supply has definitely fallen short. The iPhone took 74 days to cross its one-millionth mark while the iPad tablet only took 28 days to reach the same sales record. The iPad with its cutting edge advances is exactly as Apple has described… MAGICAL. |
